"A wild and dandy lathe single featuring Wire contributor Daniel Spicer on one side, speaking over improvised percussion with live alto sax by Ron Caines (still best known for his work with the great prog outfit East Of Eden). Their track has a lift that continuously recalls the rhythm of Adrian Henri's recorded work (with and without The Liverpool Scene), which is a very fine thing to recall. Paul Khimasia Morgan is also based in Brighton, where he runs the Slightly Off Kilter label and improvises in various configurations. This time out he's solo, and focussed on electronics. His piece features feedback-like tones rising carefully amid a cloud of metal thorns. Morgan's knob twiddling has more physicality to it than most you hear, which gives the performance some nice faux visual weight."
with the kind of exciting live edge that almost makes me think I’ve discovered
a rare 1971 heavy-prog underground guitar group to match Captain Marryat.
Nifty, edgy, vital playing throughout. Added bonus – no effects pedals
whatsoever as far as I can hear."
In 2015, Kuroneko announced an open call for artists to remix their track "Waxworks" and in return, allow them to do the same to an example of their work.
Stray Transmission, (Nazar Ali Khan of Inner City Unit) and Upward, (Jack Chuter, author of Storm Static Sleep) were the first to take up the challenge. Stray Transmission applies his trademark urban field recordings to "Waxworks", while Upward chart a free-Noise trajectory. Kuroneko process Stray Transmission's Crossing with dark artifacts from their vaults of improvised sonics and reimagine Upward's Error of Judgement as an even more terrifying journey into anxiety and claustrophobia, as if that were even possible....

Kuroneko's Remixesss project remains open and anyone with an interest in participating should contact Kuroneko here: https://www.facebook.com/Kuronekonoise/?fref=ts
